Arhar dal with tomato is one of my favorite lentil dishes.

Not only is it delicious, but it also offers numerous health benefits.

I make arhar dal in my kitchen every three days.

This dal pairs well with rice, bitter gourd fry, and mixed vegetable curry, making it a tasty and healthy lunch option.

While preparing flavorful arhar dal can be a bit challenging, you can easily make it at home by following my steps.

The true taste of arhar dal is achieved when it is cooked in a kadai; using a pressure cooker may not give you the same authentic flavor.

Some people claim that their arhar dal never cooks properly in a kadai, but for the best results, it’s important to use mineral water or filtered water.

Boil the water thoroughly in the kadai before adding the dal.

Do not stir much in this process, excessive stirring will not make your lentils cook faster until 95% of the water in the dal evaporates
