Step-by-Step Recipe for Lauki ki Sabji with Bata Fish

Preparing the Ingredients

  • Clean and cut the Bata Fish. Sprinkle salt and haldi and keep it aside for 5 minutes
  • Peel and cut the Lauki same as shown in the image

Frying the Fish

  1. Add the Bata Fish to the oil and fry them lightly on both sides.
  2. Once done, take them out of the pan and keep them aside.

Cooking Lauki ki Sabji

  • In the same pan, add 1/2 tsp jeera dry chilli, and bay leaf and let it crackle.

  • Add the cut Lauki to the pan. Add 1/2 tsp haldi, and salt to taste and mix well.

  • Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.

  • add a pinch of roasted jeera powder,1/2 red chili powder, a pinch of dhania powder,1/2 teaspoon ginger paste

After 10 minutes, add the fried Bata Fish pieces to the pan.

Cover the pan and cook for another 10 minutes on low heat.
