– Rinse the masoor dal thoroughly with water until the water runs clear. – In a kadhai add the 2 cup masoor dal and 2 and half cups of water.
– Cook the dal on high heat until it’s almost fully cooked. This should take around 15 minutes.

– Once the dal is almost cooked,add 3 cup water , chopped green chillies, haldi, and salt to taste,cook for 5 minute
– In a separate pan, heat the oil on medium heat.Add the dry chilli and geera to the oil and saute for a few seconds until the geera starts to sizzle.
– Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
– Add the cooked dal to the pan with the tomato mixture and stir well.
– Cook the dal on high heat for another 7-8 minutes until it’s fully cooked and the flavors have melded together.
