– Cut the cabbage into small noodle-shaped pieces. – In a pot of boiling water, add the cabbage and let it cook for around 5 minutes. – Once the cabbag e is boiled, drain the water and setit aside.
– In a pan, fry the potato cubes until they turn a delightful golden brown. Set them aside.
– In the same pan, fry the fish head until it is cooked to perfection and beautifully golden. Set it aside.
– Heat up some oil in a cooking pot or kadai – Add the dry chillies, bay leaves, and raw geera to the heated oil.
– Next, add the boiled cabbage and green chillies to the pot. – Sprinkle the aromatic haldi powder and mix everything well. – add the optional tomato at this stage.
– add the fried potato cubes and season with salt according to your taste. – Give everything a good stir and let it cook on high heat for approximately 5 minutes.
– After 5 minutes, add the fried fish head to the pot and mix it all together.
– Cover the kadai and let the flavors meld together as the dish cooks for an additional 10 minutes on medium to low heat. Remember to stir occasionally.
– Once the cabbage is tender and cooked to perfection, it’s time to add the final touches. Sprinkle in the garam masala, geera powder, and ginger paste.
– Finally, garnish the dish with fresh dhaniya leaves for that extra touch of vibrancy.
Serve the cabbage recipe with fish head curry piping hot with steamed rice, roti, naan, or bread.
