irstly, wash the 250g masoor dal thoroughly with water.
Take a kadhai or a pan, add the dal and pour water in the ratio of 1:2 (1 cup of dal requires 1 and 1/2 cups of water). Cook the dal on medium flame until it becomes soft and tender.

– Heat oil in a pan and add geera and a dry chilli to it.
– add the chopped onion and green chillies.
– Fry until the onion turns golden brown.Add 2 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste to the pan and fry until the raw smell disappears.Add a 1/2 teaspoon of haldi and fry for a minute.
– If the masalas are sticking to the pan, add a little water and fry until the oil separates.
– Now add the cooked dal to the pan and stir well.Add salt to taste and let it simmer on low heat for 3-4 minutes.
After the dal is cooked, turn off the heat and let it sit for a minute.
Garnish the dal with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice or roti.
