– Take hot water in a bowl.Add dry fish and soak for 2 minutes.Wash the dry fish 4-5 times with plain water.Keep it aside.
– Peel off the pumpkin and cut it into cubes. – Keep it aside.
– Add oil to a pan and heat it.
– Add dry chillies,kalongi (Nigella) and crush garlic.
– Add washed dry fish and fry for 2 minutes[optional].

– Add 1/2 cup of water if needed. – Mix well and cover the pan for 10 minutes on low heat.
