How to Make Delicious Dum Aloo Recipe at Home

– Take 500g of small-sized potatoes and wash them thoroughly.

– Boil the potatoes until they are cooked. Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the water and let them cool for a few minutes.

Peel off the skin of the potatoes

– Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the potatoes until they turn golden brown. Remove them from the pan and keep them aside.

Ingredient – 500g small-sized potatoe – 1 dry red chili – 2 green chilie – 1/3 teaspoon cumin seed – 1 bay leaf – 1 small onion – 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder – Ghee (optional) – Oil – Salt to taste

– In another pan, heat oil and add a bay leaf, cumin seeds, and one dry red chili. Fry for a few seconds until they splutter.

– Add one small chopped onion and fry until it becomes translucent.

– Add one tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears.

– Now add the spice mix paste which includes 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder. Fry the mixture for a few seconds.

– Add the fried potatoes to the spice mixture and mix well.

– Add three mashed potatoes to the mixture and stir until it is well combined.

– Add one cup or two of water and mix well.

– Add salt to taste and let the curry cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat. – Once the curry is ready, add ghee (optional) for a richer taste

– Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and green chilies. – Serve hot with puri, rice, or parantha.
