– Clean the fish properly under running water and remove all the scales.
– Add haldi (turmeric powder) and salt to the fish and mix well.
– Heat some oil in a pan and fry the fish until it turns golden brown. Once done, keep it aside.

– In the same pan, add more oil if required and add geera and sliced onions. Fry them until they turn light brown.
– Add the ginger and garlic paste and fry for a few seconds until the raw smell disappears.
– Add the chopped tomato and cook until it turns soft and mushy.
– Add haldi (turmeric powder), red chili powder, and green chilies. Mix well and cook on low heat for 7 minutes until the masalas are cooked properly
– Now, add the fried fish and mix gently so that the fish is coated with the masalas. Cook for another 10 minutes on low heat.
